Go For Gold Is Shining With New Cover

Hailing from Arkansas, Go For Gold burst onto the scene in 2017 as a college bedroom project that quickly gained momentum, and just released their highly anticipated cover of “Chemical” by Post Malone.

“We chose to cover ‘Chemical’ really just based on a feeling. The song is emotional and we connected with it personally and wanted to convey the same message as the original song, but infuse it sonically with our own sound.”

Their DIY 2019 "Daydreamer" demos turned heads regionally, recorded with passion in a humble garage setup. Amidst the challenges of 2020, they dropped the infectious "Color Me EP," featuring the standout track "Tone."

In 2021, the dynamic duo of Spencer and Jared unleashed "COPE," their first studio effort, sparking a surge of Spotify hits. The excitement continued in December 2022 with the electrifying "So Sick EP," crafted alongside renowned producer Kyle Black (Paramore, Pierce The Veil, Taking Back Sunday). This collaboration saw Go For Gold embrace a fresh, upbeat sound, highlighted by the chart-topping "Really Hate."

“Our process included us creating 15 different versions of the cover before finding the idea that stuck, which we started writing 2 months after the original was released. We had to take some time to step away from it before eventually returning with a clear vision, resulting in what we are putting out into the world today.”

It’s safe to say that Arkansas struck gold with this brilliant band, with its southern citizens' die-hard support. As they push boundaries and captivate audiences, Go For Gold promises an exhilarating journey ahead in the world of alternative music.
